Gene came to us from South Carolina after he was surrendered from a breeder who didn't feel like dealing with him and his siblings. We know his mother was a pure bred American pit bull terrier, but we don't know who the father was, although many have thought the pups look like pit bull/lab mixes. Gene and his brothers thankfully were taken in by a family until they could be transported north to PA. Now the boys are being fostered in a wonderful home in Coatesville, PA with many other dogs and three young children all of whom they adore. Although the boys were shy at first they soon realized their new human companions wanted nothing more than for them to be happy and healthy, and the boys have come out of their shells. Gene loves to play with his brothers, toys and human friends, and once he is tired he loves to curl up for a cat nap.
Gene is up to date on all of his core vaccinations, will be neutered prior to adoption, microchipped and is current on his monthly preventatives. He is eating quality food and on an array of supplements to help make up for what he lacked prior to rescue.
If you are interested in making Gene a permanent member of your family please visit http://www.helpingthehelplesspets.com to review, complete and submit an Adoption Application.
Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued pet!
