Adopting a Pitbull

Have you considered the cost of caring for a pet?

*these are nation wide figures, please understand that with in PA these prices are increased on average by 10-20%

Application/ Adoption Process

We appreciate your interest in Adopting a rescued pet and we welcome you to complete an Adoption Application for any of our furry friends, please do so through the Forms/Applications link.

Once your appliation has been received, we will be in contact with you, via email. Your application will need to be processed and if you are approved, we will do out best to match your family with you new fur baby. After the application is pre-approved, we complete a home visit and interview with you and your family, in order to gain a better understanding as to where our rescues will be spending the rest of their days.  All potential adopters must agree to a home visit.  This is to ensure that our wards are being adopted into safe homes.  If you are outside of PA, NJ or DE, please email us at Sarah@helpingthehelplesspets.com to find out if we have a rescue volunteer in your area who is able to assist with this part of the adoption process. All of our pets are in foster care and the foster parents know the pet's pesonality best. While your home may be a wonderful home for a pet, it might not be the right home for the pet in which you are applying. We may suggest a different pet, or if you choose, we can keep your name on file and notify you when a pet arrives with the qualities and personality traits that you are looking for. Do not be discouraged if the pet that you apply for is adopted by another family because there is no shortage of homeless pets and the perfect one will come along sooner or later.

Our organization also requires that all puppies adopted under 6 months of age must be enrolled in puppy training classes.
