NOAH

 Old NoahOld Noah 2

Noah's lucky day came when animal control picked him while wandering down a quiet country road. It was evident he had a hard life. His body was riddled with old wounds, and some of these wounds look like bite marks (especially around his face).  He had larger healing sores on his shoulders and hair loss on his front legs. In addition, his left eye was cloudy with aged puss.  The shelter took him in, cleaned his wounds, removed the ticks from his body and he was able to receive the veterinary care he needed. Not surprisingly, this veterinary care revealed Noah was heartworm positive.  He would need a rescue to help him so he would be able to receive the treatment and care he so desperately needed.  HTH was lucky enough to be that rescue.

Despite all of these ailments, new and old, Noah is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is extremely welcoming and his tail wags and wags. Noah smiles from ear to ear.  Noah is now in a foster home with four other canine companions that range from 5 to 80 pounds and he is wonderful with all of them.  He enjoys playing tug of war and wrestling with his pals, but equally enjoys exploring these new things called “toys” and seems surprised by how different they can be.  Noah doesn’t mind sharing his water, food, crate or foster parents with his new friends.  Noah is extremely gentle with children as if to say, “I understand you’re nervous so I will move slowly”.  All in all you will not find a sweeter gentler young boy than Noah!

New Noah

* Update - Noah has now hopefully completed his heartworm treatment.  Over the course of a month and half he has received three immiticide injections to kill the adult heartworms living in his body.  Soon he will begin monthly heartworm prevention to hopefully finishing ridding his body of the larve that cause this devestating disease.  In January he will receive another heartworm test and we pray he will be negative at that time as expected.

*Update - Noah has found his forever home :)  As it turns out his foster Mommy just could not part with this amazing boy!  He was heartworm tested this year and it showed he is now officially heartworm negative.
